Job Role

The position is to own, manage and grow the existing EU account base across a broad range of customers and trading sectors.

This is a sales focussed, account management role with an emphasis on gaining a deep understanding of the account base and their respective business practices. You will, therefore, be naturally inquisitive and understand the benefits gained from a close and cooperative customer relationship.

As the manufacturer, your customers will occasionally require you to produce bespoke items, therefore, a high level of organisation and communication skills along with good attention to detail is essential.

The account base covers the Nordics through to the southern European territories, therefore, fluency in German and English is required. Another European language would be an advantage but not essential.

As Account Manager, you will have worked in a customer facing sales position for a minimum of five years and will be looking for a role with variety, responsibility, and room to develop.

Your customer base includes, but is not limited to, the medical sector, emergency services, retail, transport and logistics, across both the public and private sectors.

The role will be office based, with regular scheduled customer visits required.

Reporting to the EU Branch Manager, you will be supported by the Haan, and the wider Versapak team, whilst retaining the day-to-day responsibility to achieve the set targets.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop the Versapak brand and product range within the territory
  • Understand the company’s manufacturing process and its product range features and benefits
  • Own the Sales budget for the account base and report position and progress to the Branch Manager
  • Provide clear and accurate communication with internal stakeholders to ensure the external service levels and commitments are achieved
  • Face to face meetings are an integral aspect of the role to establish a high-level customer relationship and understanding
  • Identify new opportunities and manage inbound enquiries to build a solid pipeline
  • Keep the EU Branch Manager up to date on progress and strategic planning / growth opportunities
