Sustainability

Versapak aims to minimize its impact on the environment as much as possible. We have developed the Versapak Sustainability Strategy to define, monitor and improve our sustainability. We are constantly looking for ways to improve the way we work with our customers and suppliers and the way we run our business.

• Our reusable bags can be reused more than 2,000 times.
• Our energy-efficient injection molding machine, which is used to produce most of our security seals, helps to reduce our impact on the environment.
• In addition, our security seals with closure mechanism are 100% recyclable,
• and are also made from recycled plastic.
• Our campaign for the recycling of plastic seals: Send us back your used seals and we will recycle them.
• "Recycle Your Versapak" campaign: We use scrap material and surplus bags and recycle the material.

In October 2024, Versapak Europe received the silver award from Ecovadis. Ecovadis is a leading sustainability rating platform that evaluates the environmental, social and ethical performance of companies in various industries. The silver award denotes an outstanding level of sustainability practices within our organization. We are proud to have received this award as it underlines our commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices.

At Versapak we are committed to reducing waste and using surplus and scrap material to make pencil cases. By working closely with charities, schools and charitable food banks, we are able to distribute these pencil cases to less privileged children.

In addition, we take back Versapak bags at the end of their useful life and use the material to make mats for the homeless. We also donate used bags and carrier bags to charity.
