In 1973, our Chairman Ian Denny Anderson founded Versapak with a simple, reusable mailing envelope and seal to protect security-sensitive items in transit. The Versapak range quickly became known for its durability, security and cost effectiveness and quickly gained wide acceptance by postal authorities, banks and medical facilities around the world.

Founding of Versapak International Ltd and opening of the first small production facility in Chislehurst, Kent.
1974
Versapak International changes its name to The Versapak Group. Move to larger premises at 239 Broadway, Bexleyheath, Kent. Installation of an injection moulding plant and start of production of mailing products in Brightlingsea, Essex.
1975
Foundation of a sales and production company in Canada for the North American market.
1979
Foundation of the Envelope Printing Company (EPC), which sells millions of envelopes.
1980

Relocation to Upland Road, Bexleyheath.
1984
Purchase of the largest authorised articulated lorry with double loading area for the collection and delivery of envelopes for EPC from Germany.
1986
Introduction of the first anti-doping kit at the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
1987
Move to larger premises in Crabtree Manor Way, Bexleyheath, Kent.

Move to larger premises in Centurion Way, Erith, Kent.
1997
Acquisition of John Sharp Industries, a manufacturer and supplier of security products.

Relocation of production to Europe to expand opportunities and be competitive in a more global market. Versapak Romania is founded near Cluj-Napoca. A factory and sales office with state-of-the-art equipment to maximise production efficiency.

Founding of Versapak GmbH to further expand our growing European business and recruitment of a dedicated team for the German-speaking region.

Acquisition of Bond Mailroom to complement the Versapak Group.

Move to the new UK headquarters in Erith, Kent.

Awarded the title of "Purveyor to the British Royal Family".

Development and patenting of the T2 sealant.
